Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are hiring Staff Nurse- Oncology Day Unit into a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Safe chemotherapy administration administer cytotoxic chemotherapy via cannula PICC Hickman or Portacath in accordance with Cancer Centre protocols and Department of Health policies.
  • Provide patients and families with information about treatment plans side effects and aftercare ensuring effective communication within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver high-quality evidence-based nursing care within the NMBI Scope of Practice and uphold hospital policies and professional standards.
  • Work closely with doctors pharmacists and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of specialist oncology care.
  • Assess staff competencies delegate appropriately act as a resource person and support junior staff and students through teaching and mentorship.
  • Maintain accurate patient records monitor risk management processes and participate in quality improvement and audit activities.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Nurse Manager and team members promote effective interdisciplinary collaboration and assist in resolving complaints or incidents.
  • Ensure efficient use of hospital resources demonstrate strong organisational skills and adapt to changing workload demands.
  • Participate in ongoing education maintain a professional portfolio attend mandatory training and engage in research and performance reviews.
  • Contribute to Total Quality Management policy development hospital accreditation cycles and health promotion initiatives.






Requirements

  • Nursing & Midwife Board of Ireland Registered General Nurse (NMBI) licence in good standing.
  • Oncology-related post-graduation qualification desirable.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred with oncology experience an advantage.
  • Demonstrates teaching ability leadership qualities professional judgement critical thinking problem-solving skills and commitment to professional development.
  • Exhibits strong multi-tasking and effective time management skills.
  • Works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with motivation and an innovative approach.
  • Communicates effectively presenting information clearly and concisely with an understanding of change management.
  • Shows evidence of effective planning organisation and flexibility regarding rotations rostering and work attitude.
  • Possesses recent and relevant experience in a specialised and acute hospital setting.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current developments and national strategies relevant to specialised nursing care.
