To contribute to the continuous improvement of both the Internal Audit function and the Tallaght University Hospital as a whole.overview of role:Key Duties and Responsibilities- Delivery from planning to completion of the programme of work set out by the Head of Internal audit as part of the continuous auditing element of the Internal Audit plan;
- Presentation of clear concise and timely working papers for review by Head of Internal Audit;
- Participate in the management of the issues tracking process including follow up with relevant stakeholders to assess the implementation of recommendations as per Internal Audit reports and compiling reports of same;
- Development of positive working relationships with relevant stakeholders within the organisation to ensure commitment during and post audit assignments;
- Demonstrate comprehension and ability to evaluate existing policies and procedures and identify controls. Perform audit procedures to test effectiveness of control;
- Continuously communicating with the Head of Internal Audit on the progress of assignments;
- Liaise with the external auditors as required;
- Completion of scheduled and ad hoc audit assignments across all areas of the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience requiredMust have: Each candidate must hold on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office -:- Third level degree.
- Part qualified accountant with a recognised or prescribed accountancy body such as ACCA CPA ACMA CIMA ACA or equivalent accountancy body in another jurisdiction.
- Must have at least one year demonstrable knowledge of Internal Audit in Healthcare setting.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively at all levels.
- Fluent commandand understanding of the English language to include spoken and written word.
Desirable: Experience in/understanding of Irish Healthcare SystemReward & Recognition- Remuneration is in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales grade code 0574.
- The appointment is full time Permanent and pensionable.
- The annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year. The leave year runs from 1st April to the 31st of March each year.
- Normal working hours are 35 worked over 5 days. Your contracted hours of work are liable to change between the hours of 8 am to 8 pm over 7 days to meet the requirements for extended day services in accordance with the terms of the Framework Agreement.
