MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in business accounting or related field
- Proficient knowledge of the field of school finance and school district accounting
- One year or more of experience in the field of finance school finance or accounting
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Current knowledge of Texas school finance and funding formulas and their impact.
- Demonstrated skills in written and oral communications public relations and interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to use Internet resources

- Proficient knowledge and understanding of school finance budgeting and accounting systems
- Ability to conduct onsite technical assistance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct on-site technical assistance and training for public schools and charter schools in school finance budget development and financial management.
- Serve as a liaison between the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and local districts and charter schools.
- Develop and implement program procedures based on State initiatives and regional needs.
- Utilize effective interpersonal skills to promote a positive and caring work climate.
- Participate in appropriate professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas of responsibility.
- Perform state funding calculations for public schools and charter schools.
- Assist districts in all facets of budget development and management.
- Conduct revenue/cost analysis for school districts and charter schools.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and standards in all aspects of Region III ESC duties.
- Promote sensitivity and fairness in working with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Comply with federal and state laws State Board of Education Rules and ESC board policy and procedures.
