Sales Engineer

Looking for an opportunity to make an impact at a fast growing investor-backed AI/ML company Do you have experience developing high-performance cross-platform software This is an exciting opportunity with a fast-growing team at the cutting-edge intersection of AI/ML models sensor fusion and large datasets. You will be an integral part of a high-performing multi-disciplinary team developing innovative products from the ground up.

Tocaro Blue is transforming maritime technology by modernizing legacy marine radar systems through innovative software solutions. Our flagship product ProteusCore is an advanced software platform that integrates vessel Radar sensor data with artificial intelligence and machine learning models to deliver real-time situational awareness.

Role Summary

At Tocaro Blue the Sales Engineer serves as the vital connector between our clients sales team and engineering organization. Youll translate customer needs into actionable technical requirements while actively driving business development and nurturing long-term client partnerships. Success in this position requires a strong command of technical fundamentals that establish credibility with all parties.

Youll stay close to the details documenting client requirements and collaborating across teams to make sure every solution hits the mark. Your primary objective is to facilitate the client integration process becoming an indispensable technical partner who guides customers through successfully embedding our software products into their technology ecosystems. As a sales engineer at Tocaro Blue you will be the go-to technical resource for customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Computer Science Marine Sciences Robotics/Automation or other similar technical fields
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to think creatively and willingness to work collaboratively
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills presentation ability and the ability to distill technical concepts into plain language
  • Ability to quickly learn and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Detail and process oriented
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • 3 years of engineering sales solutions engineering or technical sales experience in related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Office Microsoft Teams

Nice to Have

Marine Industry experience

Defense Industry experience

Passion/interest in boats/maritime activities

Zoho CRM Confluence Figma

Compensation & Commitment

  • $90000 - $110000 salary with potential for incentive equity compensation
  • 401(k) with matching (up to 4% of salary) Health Dental Vision Life Disability Insurance
  • In-house training on tools and techniques
  • Ability to work on US Government Contracts (typically limited to US Citizens)
  • Required in-office Birmingham AL
  • Up to 40% travel
