Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations for the San Diego manufacturing site
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes using advanced Excel modeling (no planning tools in place)
- Partner with the General Manager and Corporate Finance to deliver accurate financial results insights and forecasts
- Manage cost accounting functions including inventory valuation standard costing and variance reporting
- The second part of assignment will lead month-end close GL oversight account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Collaborate on financial planning and analysis for production program performance and profitability
- Provide guidance and leadership to site accounting staff during leadership absences
- Coordinate with corporate and site teams on process improvements reporting templates and data accuracy
- (Nice to have) Assist with compliance and reporting related to government contracts (DCAA DFAR FAR) including proposal review and pricing support
Qualifications
- 815 years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Strong blended background across both accounting and FP&A
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex financial models budgeting forecasting)
- Proven experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
