Job Summary
- Product Vision and Goals: Develop and articulate a compelling product vision roadmap and measurable goals that align with company objectives and customer needs.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation and development through launch growth maturity and end-of-life ensuring timely updates enhancements and retirements.
- P&L Ownership: Manage profit and loss (P&L) for the laser products lineincluding budgeting forecasting pricing strategies and financial analysis to optimize profitability and growth.
- Strategic Decision Making: Lead strategic initiatives by evaluating market opportunities competitive landscapes and internal capabilities to make data- driven decisions that position our laser products for long-term success.
- 80/20 Analysis: Apply the 80/20 principle (Pareto analysis) to focus efforts on high-impact features customers and revenue drivers streamlining processes and resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Product Analytics: Utilize data analytics tools and metrics (e.g. usage data KPIs A/B testing) to monitor product performance identify trends and inform iterative improvements.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research including customer interviews surveys competitor analysis and industry trend monitoring to uncover insights and validate product opportunities.
- Prioritization: Prioritize features backlog items and initiatives using frameworks like RICE MoSCoW or value vs. effort matrices balancing short-term wins with long-term strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D engineering sales and customer support teams to gather requirements define specifications and ensure successful product delivery.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Champion a customer-first mentality by incorporating user feedback usability testing and persona development into product decisions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Innovation and Problem Solving: Identify and solve complex problems creatively fostering an environment of continuous improvement and exploring emerging technologies in laser fabrication.
- Performance Tracking: Establish and track success metrics reporting on product health to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Marketing or a related field; MBA is a strong plus.
- 5 years of experience in product management preferably in manufacturing industrial equipment or technology sectors.
Demonstrated track record of successfully launching and managing products that drive revenue growth and market share.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in product analytics tools (e.g. GoogleAnalytics) and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g. Jira Aha! Productboard) is highly desirable.
