About the area

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Operations) (DVCO) leads UWAs operational and transformation agenda bringing together key functions to support the Universitys academic and research mission. The portfolio drives service excellence sustainability and innovation through strategic operations digital enablement and organisational improvement.

Within this office the Transformation team drives the Universitys transformation agenda through the coordinated management of key operational initiatives. This includes delivery of AI initiatives operational portfolio & change management and operational strategy to ensure strong alignment with institutional priorities. The Office also leads digital experience design and process optimisation enabling UWA to operate with greater agility sustainability and innovation in an increasingly dynamic higher education environment.

About the opportunity

  • Drive strategic planning and execution across the DVCO portfolio to ensure effective delivery of transformation and improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting to the Director of Transformation you will lead the development and implementation of strategic priorities support divisional performance planning and measurement and ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives.
  • Provide high-level strategic advice analysis and coordination to inform decision-making enhance organisational performance and maintain alignment with the Universitys overarching goals.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality reports business cases and strategic papers to support executive decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues identify solutions and drive effective outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with the proven ability to negotiate and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups including senior leaders.
  • Experience in business consultancy or service-focused environments with exposure to corporate development transformation or strategic improvement initiatives is desirable.

Special Requirements

  • On occasions may be required to work outside normal hours and travel as required
