Job Summary

The Coding Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely assignment and review of professional coding related to ICD-10-CM CPT HCPCS codes for multi-specialty group.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED equivalency

QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Professional Coding Designation (CPC) or equivalent certification required
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
Medical terminology; anatomy and physiology
Knowledge of payor guidelines
Demonstrated ability to use a computer with Microsoft Office knowledge
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Must be well organized and detail-oriented
Current and valid drivers license
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients employees and public

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May include standing sitting and/or walking for extended periods
May include performing repetitive tasks
May include lifting up to 25 pounds
