Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for mechanical parts (plastics metals rubber) aligned with business goals.
- Identify evaluate and onboard new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing quality and supply continuity.
- Lead price negotiations cost analysis and value engineering initiatives to achieve cost savings.
- Manage supplier contracts including terms conditions and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering Quality Operations) to support new product development and localization efforts.
- Monitor market trends raw material pricing (especially plastic resin) and supply chain risks.
- Drive supplier relationship management and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies ethical sourcing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support RFQ/RFI processes supplier audits and performance reviews.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Supply Chain Management Business or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement preferably in mechanical commodities.
- Strong knowledge of plastic materials and resin types is a plus.
- Proven experience in supplier scouting negotiation and contract management.
- Familiarity with cost breakdown analysis manufacturing processes and global sourcing.
- Excellent communication analytical and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP Oracle or equivalent).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
