JOB TITLE/LOCATION:
Shipper Clerk Carson City CA
DESCRIPTION:
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk supports the organization by shipping and receiving product accurately and to the defined specification meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Reads and understands packing marking and shipping instructions.
- Use of shipping systems and customer portals to processing shipments.
- Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
- Drives company truck and to deliver and collect shipments.
- Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
- Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting reimbursement and record keeping.
- Responsible for general cleanliness of shipping and assembly area including trash disposal.
- Assists in arranging carrier for shipments.

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of related experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- A positive attitude excellent communication skills and strong multitasking ability
- Must be well organized works well with others and flexible.
- Broad skill set who is not afraid to tackle multiple tasks.
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be computer literate
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud. Also the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
