46 miles south west of Little Rock Malvern is a city in and the county seat of Hot Spring County Arkansas. Founded as a railroad stop at the eastern edge of the Ouachita Mountains the communitys history and economy have been tied to available agricultural and mineral resources.
This plants manufacturing dates back to the 1920s. From 1928-1964 they were the International Shoe Company which produced textile 1964 the plant was sold to Hot Spring County and from 1966-1971 the County leased plant to Curtis Mathes Company of AR where it was used to assemble televisions. From 1971-1975 the Plant was leased to International Technovation (Intech.) where it manufactured foam products (Egg Cartons/Trays). Then in 1975-1980 the Plant was leased to Western Foam Pak where it manufactured foam products. From 1980-1996 the plant operated under the name of Amoco Foam Products and was purchased by Western Foam Pak. The plant was purchased by Tenneco Packaging in 1996. Pactiv then seperated from Tenneco Packaging in 1999. Currently the facility manufactures protein trays and pads with approxinately 350 employees.

Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Supply technical assistance to facility in order to maintain and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Calibrates tests sets up and repairs various controls instruments and gauges measuring all types in variables.
- These may include heat light voltage amperage weight vacuum magnetic resistance or various content measurements.
- May disassemble instruments and examine various components for problems.
- Understand and use Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) to diagnose/troubleshoot
- Use statistical documentation of results new findings conclusions and recommendations on process and projects to engineering leaders
- Identify and recommend safety process/product improvement opportunities including evaluating equipment not performing to standard speed cost reduction opportunities in all assigned areas and processes based on experience and observations
- Implement new or revised operating processes or procedures in all areas including changing SOPs safety procedures etc.
- Understand quality checks for any process according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Facilitates teamwork
- Possess a positive professional attitude
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- AAS or trade school diploma in mechanical or electrical highly preferred
- 5 years technical manufacturing exp.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Must be proficient in computer applications and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be self-motivated proactive and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
