Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM 5:30 PM 10-hour shifts)
Schedule: Includes call shifts (approximately 1012 per six weeks every other weekend)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team at a leading healthcare facility in Dallas TX. The RN will be responsible for assisting with complex cardiac procedures providing critical patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures and ensuring adherence to all clinical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.

• Monitor and assess patients pre- intra- and post-procedure.

• Administer medications and manage sedation under physician supervision.

• Operate and assist with specialized equipment such as Impella IABP Volcano ICE and Sonosite.

• Respond effectively to emergencies and assist in maintaining readiness for code situations.

• Collaborate with physicians technicians and other nursing staff to ensure quality outcomes.

• Maintain detailed accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.

• Participate in on-call rotation as required (including weekends).

Qualifications

• Active RN License (Texas or Compact State).

• BLS and ACLS Certifications required (AHA).

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab or critical care experience in an acute care setting.

• Experience with cardiac assist devices (Impella IABP etc.) preferred.

• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.

• Ability to work effectively in high-stress fast-paced environments.

Schedule Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts).

• Call: Required; approximately 1012 call shifts per six weeks (includes every other weekend).

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks.
