Job Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role involves gathering and reporting patient data implementing orders and performing therapeutic procedures appropriate for the patients age and condition adhering to established policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include floating to Family Medicine Internal Medicine and Pediatric locations completing competencies and working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Gather and report patient data.
- Implement orders and perform therapeutic procedures.
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Complete competencies including rooming injections EKG nasopharyngeal swabs blood pressure and ear flushes.
- Manage in-basket work.
- Float to all other Family Medicine Internal Medicine and Pediatric locations.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LVN/LPN licensure in the state of work.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to work with others.
- Dependability and punctuality.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Ambulatory and Pediatric experience.
- Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- 2 years of experience in direct patient care.

Scheduling:
- Monday - Friday
- 7:00 am to 4:30 pm
- 8-hour shifts dependent upon department needs
- 8 week contract
