Shift: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM MondayFriday with Weekend Coverage
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Dietitian to provide comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to a diverse patient population including infants pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients. The role involves conducting nutrition assessments developing individualized care plans and supporting interdisciplinary care teams to enhance patient outcomes and reduce hospital stays.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and document patients nutritional status using validated screening tools such as the Malnutrition Screening Tool (MST).
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams.
Provide nutrition support therapy management including enteral and parenteral nutrition oversight.
Implement evidence-based nutrition interventions to improve patient health outcomes and reduce complications.
Utilize facility protocols to manage diet orders supplements and nutrition-related lab tests.
Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and interdisciplinary rounds.
Provide patient and family nutrition education as part of the care continuum.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient or critical care experience.
CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) certification preferred.
Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy malnutrition diagnosis and clinical documentation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a hospital or acute care setting.
Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential.
