Technical Architect

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Technical Architect to join our team at CGI. This role is designed for an innovative technology leader who can bridge the gap between software engineering teams and business stakeholders ensuring that complex technical concepts are effectively communicated and aligned with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background broad architectural knowledge and the ability to work across multiple domains without being tied to a specific technology stack. This is a high-impact role for someone looking to drive innovation strategy and technical excellence across large-scale projects.

This position is located in Arlington VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Serve as a technology-agnostic architect and consultant guiding technical strategy and decision-making across various technology stacks.
. Act as a trusted advisor between technical teams and business stakeholders translating complex technical details into actionable business insights.
. Provide technical leadership and influence key decision-making processes to drive innovation and scalable solutions.
. Lead discussions on technical feasibility architecture and system integration with cross-functional teams ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
. Collaborate with developers architects and business analysts to ensure technical solutions align with overall program objectives and business goals.
. Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends to proactively recommend cutting-edge solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
. 10 years of related experience in a technical consulting solutions architecture or systems engineering role.
. Currently holds an active or eligible to acquire a Secret clearance.
. Strong understanding of a broad range of technologies including cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) software development data analytics and enterprise systems.
. Strong understanding of technical languages including JavaScript/React C# Python and SQL.
. Experience with enterprise-level IT systems integration projects and cloud transformation initiatives.
. Proven ability to synthesize complex technical information and present it in a way that is digestible for business stakeholders.
. Excellent problem-solving communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
. Previous experience in a consulting environment or client-facing technical role preferably in the federal government.
. Strong understanding of DevOps CI/CD and automation best practices.
. Technical certifications in cloud security or relevant areas are a plus.
. Experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consulting environment.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113400.00 - $245500.00.
