Job Summary

The Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District (MMUUSD) is seeking an energetic Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with middle and high school students. This long-term substitute position runs from March 2026 through June 2026 and is scheduled for 16 hours per week (equivalent of 2 days). The successful candidate willcomplete evaluations and provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to eligible students. The candidate must enjoy collaborating with staff and families and assist with professional development for teachers and staff to further their abilities to meet student needs.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

A wide range of experience and depth of knowledge in occupational therapy theory and practice as it relates to children adolescents and young adults with a variety of diagnoses.
Integration of clinical theory and practice that results in evaluation treatment and consultation that is innovative inclusive and educationally relevant.
Knowledge of Special Education state and federal guidelines regulations and laws.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations using a variety of methods including assessments observations and interviews.
Create reports that detail students occupational profiles strengths and needs.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
Collaborate with other District professionals to ensure a cohesive plan.
Communicate effectively with student their families and District staff.
Adapt student environments to support their needs.

Qualifications include:

Minimum requirement of a B.S. in Occupational Therapy (as credentialed by the American Occupational Therapy Association)
Vermont issued Occupational Therapy license
Strong collaboration skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
Citizenship and residency or work visa required
