We are seeking a Portable Service Technician for our Jackson MS office!

The Portables Service Tech is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of portable devices. Responsibilities include inspecting testing and performing fire extinguisher checks in accordance with fire code; identifying system deficiencies and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings
Relative experience preferred
Test and repair fire extinguishers already in place

Education/Qualification:

Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in skilled trades.
Knowledge of NFPA standards is preferred
Experience with fire extinguishers is preferred

Physical Requirements:

While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel reach with hands or arms stoop kneel crouch or crawl and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing climbing grasping hearing mental acuity pulling pushing repetitive motion speaking talking and visual acuity.
