What awaits you/ Job Profile
| BMWTechWorks India Digital Product Engineering CAE Simulation unit seeks a capable Structural FEM Engineer focusing on brackets for cooling line assemblies. You will perform non-linear structural analyses under static and dynamic loading evaluating stress strain and part lifetime with a strong emphasis on fiber-reinforced plastics. The role requires autonomous work with accountability and close collaboration with CAE Simulation Construction and Methods Tools Product Data units to deliver robust production-ready designs.

What should you bring along
| - Proven experience in nonlinear structural analysis and dynamics within automotive contexts
- Ability to work independently with high accountability
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Familiarity with fiber-reinforced plastics and composite material behavior in structural applications
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 Abaqus and ANSA
- Experience with model setup validation and interpretation for bracket-type components
|
Must have technical skill | - Non-linear finite element analysis (Abaqus preferred) for structural components
- Dynamic analysis and life-cycle/durability assessment
- Material modeling of fiber-reinforced polymers (anisotropic behavior failure criteria)
- CAD/FEA integration using CATIA V5 ANSA
- Data interpretation reporting and design recommendations
- Strong problem-solving documentation and collaboration skills

Good to have Technical skills | - Digimat (composite material modeling)
- MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) for data processing and reporting
- Additional CAE workflow experience in automotive programs
- Knowledge of other CAE tools or codes (e.g. LS-DYNA Patran HyperMesh) is a plus
