About the Role
The Freight Trade Specialist supports Interras global operations by managing freight transactions efficiently cost-effectively and in full compliance. This role works closely with Commercial Operations and carriers to ensure seamless movement of goods optimize freight spend and maintain strong partnerships that drive service reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate global freight activity and serve as the main contact for shipment status.
Review trade terms secure capacity and evaluate carrier performance.
Resolve freight issues and claims with minimal cost impact.
Partner with internal teams to align delivery timelines and manage exceptions.
Analyze rates vendor performance and freight data to identify improvements.
What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree in Transportation Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent experience).
02 years in logistics ocean freight or import/export operations.
Strong communication and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel (Power BI a plus).
Knowledge of INCOTERMS FMC/DOT/NHTSA requirements and international shipping.
- Detail-oriented proactive and collaborative team player.
