About the role

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Professional Standards team as a Registry Team Leader in our national office Wellington for a 12 months fixed term period.

Our Registry Team is responsible for maintaining the Register of Lawyers in Aotearoa processing regulatory applications under the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 and responding to enquires from the legal profession. Our Registry Team play a key role at the Law Society by ensuring we meet our statutory obligations required by the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006.

Some of the things youll be doing

Developing and monitoring the goals of the team assigning tasks to team members ensuring all agreed outputs and deadlines are met and taking action to

remedy any identified issues.

Providing day-to-day leadership operational guidance and feedback in terms of carrying out operational tasks.

Facilitating regular planning and discussion sessions with team members.

Processing regulatory applications in accordance with the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act and Law Society policies and procedures.
