Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Rotating and dedicated 8 hour shifts across weekdays and evenings; Extended shifts across nights weekends and stat holidays. Rotating on-call shifts for afterhours support.
Status: Permanent Full Time

Duties

  • Work as part of the dynamic team to perform CT procedures in accordance with applicable legislation clinical standards and departmental procedures
  • Provide exceptional care to patients families and caregivers while adhering to Medical Imaging department and UHN policies and best practices
  • Effectively communicate with inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Work accurately safely and efficiently in a fast paced high patient volume setting
  • Participate in professional development teaching and educational activities and mentoring as required
  • Coordinate daily work schedule prioritizes emergency/add-on cases as required

Qualifications :

  • CMRITO registration
  • CAMRT certification with current membership preferred
  • Previous advanced CT experience or willing to be trained up to advanced level preferred
  • Completion of or current enrollment in CTIC offered by CAMRT preferred
  • Completion of certified injection course preferred
  • Completion of a BCLS program Level II: Basic Rescuer certification with maintenance of certification
  • Related technologist experience in a hospital environment an asset
  • Effective time management skills and ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making including an ability to respond to changing and emergent situations
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated good judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team
