In this casual role based at our Eastern Suburbs site you will be responsible for supporting the nursing team in the delivery of safe and quality patient centred care. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse you will assist in providing aspects of direct and indirect patient care and administrative tasks that fit within your level of achieved education skill set and assessed competence based on your clinical placements.
Some of the activities that you may be asked to do include assisting patients with daily living tasks such as grooming and hygiene ambulation and movement transporting patients between departments and constant patient observation.

To be successful in this role:
You will be a second-year nursing student with a caring proactive engaging manner and a willingness to learn and develop new skills. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to build relationships and communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people including co-workers health professionals patients and family members.
You will bring the following:
- A transcript of evidence of successful completion of your first year undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing qualification from an Australian University
- Flexibility to work AM PM and ND shifts across 7 days of the week (around your clinical placements)
- Staff able to work across our Eastern Suburbs and City (Epworth Richmond and Epworth Freemasons) Hospitals will have an advantage

Our strong team ethos extends across our services at Epworth hospitals in Richmond Camberwell and Hawthorn. Our support services play a critical role in the daily operations and experience at Epworth hospitals through our food environmental and security teams.
Qualifications :
- Completed at least 2 Years of a Bachelor of Nursing or a Bachelor of Nursing/ Midwifery or other double degree with Bachelor of Nursing component
- Current student registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board (NMBA) via AHPRA
