Job Summary
Responsibilities
- To specify the approach to configuration management in the project ( project specific processes as specified in the project manual)
- To provide a list of all configuration items in the project
- To make sure that modifications to configuration items are controlled i.e. it is transparent which changes have been made over time by whom and that earlier consistent states can be recovered
- To create and maintain all work products as of the table below:
- Configuration Recovery Test Report
- Software Configuration Management Plan
- Software Configuration Management Status Report
- Work Product Overview
Tasks
- Describe the approach to configuration management in the project including work product tailoring controlling modifications to work products and configuration management methods e.g. for baselining versioning branching and merging
- To define access to work products for all affected parties and to implement the right in the used repositories.
- To create and maintain a configuration item list (including the configuration items) status and storage locations.
- Ensure operability of configuration management tools
- Make sure that work products and engineering artefacts are controlled according to the defined approach
- Make sure that baselines are established according to schedule and according to the defined approach
- Gather configuration management related measurements (of key performance indicators or metrics) and report them to concerned parties
- Create baselines and to assure that they meet the pre-defined quality criteria for baselines.
Competencies
- Authority to decide on the approach to baselining versioning branching and merging
- Authority to grant or deny access to work products
- Has good Software development background
- Has good knowledge of ASPICE
