We are seeking a dynamic People and Capability Business Partner to join our high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of our organisation and the wellbeing of our people while contributing to the delivery of exceptional services for our community.

As a trusted advisor youll partner with managers and teams of the People and Customer Directorate to deliver:

• Provide strategic and operational HR advice and support
• Lead and support change management initiatives that enable transformation and continuous improvement
• Drive workforce planning and capability building
• Lead and support organisational development initiatives
• Champion employee engagement and wellbeing
• Collaborate on projects that enhance culture leadership and performance
• Help leaders to navigate complex people challenges and opportunities with confidence and clarity.
• Delivering comprehensive support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle

About you Ko ngā pūmanawa ōu

You will possess a strong background in Human Resources with experience providing guidance and support at various organizational levels. Your skills should include coaching leading performance discussions supporting change and implementing people-related strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with a capacity for building trust and rapport.

You will also bring:

• Proven experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role in a medium or large organisation
• Tertiary level qualification in HR or similar
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
• Change management experience (an advantage)
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills
• Coaching facilitation and investigation skills
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate ideas into action
• A collaborative solutions-focused approach
