Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Cloud Engineer to design and develop a robust large-scale cloud platform that hosts IoT devices in the forms of cameras and sensors. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building scalable production-grade microservices have a strong understanding of network protocols and have extensive experience in AWS and GCP cloud platforms

Responsibilities include

• Design develop and maintain cloud-based applications and microservices for IoT/sensor/camera based platforms.
• Build scalable backend services using Python and with front-end integration using TypeScript/AngularJS.
• Implement and maintain APIs for real-time device communication streaming and management.
• Ensure robust handling of TCP/IP communication between cloud services and connected devices using web sockets.
• CI/CD Deploy monitor and optimize production-grade microservices in cloud environments including AWS and GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements architecture and solutions.
• Maintain high standards of code quality security and performance.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps Security and Application teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with performance security and scalability goals.
• Participate in after-hours deployments and incident response activities as required.
• Provide technical leadership guidance and support to team members promoting best practices in cloud automation and infrastructure as code (IaC)

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

• Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 years of experience in cloud engineering and/or DevOps roles.
• Proficient in Python programming language.
• Exposure to Angular/ ReactJS.
• Proven experience in cloud services and enterprise-scale platform management.
• Hands on experience with best practices of version control system and branching strategy.
• Proficiency in AWS / GCP cloud platforms.
• Good understanding of networking security database concepts and cloud architecture principles.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (eg: Bitbucket Pipelines Bamboo or GitHub Actions).
• Scripting skills in Python Bash or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes Docker) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills applying strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to continuous improvement with the ability to extract insights from data to make recommendations to enhance efficiencies and reduce manual intervention.
• Ability to work independently to deliver project workstreams.
