We are seeking a hands-on and visionary Tech Lead to manage a squad focused on designing and delivering our data sourcing strategy. This role involves integrating data from diverse sourcesincluding traditional databases (Oracle Postgres) Hadoop NoSQL systems and file-based inputsand publishing it through our strategic hybrid data platform across Google Cloud and on-premises environments.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
Design scalable data sourcing and delivery solutions.
Define and enforce best practices for data ingestion preprocessing and pipeline
development.
Lead technical decisions across the team
Data Integration & Delivery
Design and implement data pipelines to ingest transform and publish data to distribution layers such as BigQuery cloud storage or through APIs.
Ensure seamless integration with hybrid platforms (GCP and on-prem).
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with feed providers to define and agree on technical interfaces.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external data partners.
Team Management
Motivate and energize a high-performing team of engineers.
Manage delivery timelines risks and dependencies.
Foster a culture of ownership innovation and continuous improvement.
Skills:
Must have:
Proven experience leading technical teams in data engineering or platform roles.
Strong expertise in:
o Oracle Postgres Hadoop NoSQL databases
o Data pipeline tools (e.g. Airflow/Composer Dataflow Dataproc)
o Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery Cloud Storage IAM)
o Solid understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and data governance.
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
o Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership.
Nice to have:
Experience with Big Data and metadata management
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps for data platforms
Prior work in regulated or enterprise-scale environments
