Year 3 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 3 Teacher will plan sequenced mathematics and English lessons as the Year 3 Teacher lead enquiry topics and practical science as the Year 3 Teacher and run targeted interventions as the Year 3 Teacher. The Year 3 Teacher will assess progress present outcomes in phase meetings and liaise with parents. The Year 3 Teacher will prepare resources before January 2026 and join induction in January 2026 to be ready to teach from January 2026.
Year 3 Teacher Requirements
We are seeking a Year 3 Teacher with QTS or equivalent secure KS2 practice and a collaborative outlook. The Year 3 Teacher should be reflective organised and committed to inclusive pedagogy. Availability for pre-term planning prior to January 2026 induction in January 2026 and to start in post from January 2026 as the Year 3 Teacher is essential.
Community and culture
The Year 3 Teacher will become part of a collegial team that values wellbeing workload management and professional curiosity. As the Year 3 Teacher you will take part in weekly phase meetings peer observations and receive bespoke coaching sessions tailored to your development needs. The school runs regular training on curriculum design and assessment which the Year 3 Teacher will access starting with induction in January 2026. The Year 3 Teacher will also be supported to develop leadership skills for example by leading an enrichment project after the initial term.
Inclusion and safeguarding
The Year 3 Teacher will work closely with the inclusion coordinator and SEN team to ensure all children including those with additional needs access a rich and responsive curriculum. Safeguarding is a priority; the Year 3 Teacher will complete safer recruitment and safeguarding updates as part of induction in January 2026 and follow the schools robust procedures throughout the year.
