Job Summary
Registered Nurse Pediatric (Contract Role)
- Location: Shiprock NM 87420
- Duration: 18-week contract
- Shift: 12-hr Day/Night Rotate
- Pay Rate: $56 - $63/hr (Depending on experience negotiable)
Guaranteed Hours:
- Week 1: 36 hours
- Week 2: 48 hours
Job Summary
The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high quality compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in a hospital or clinical setting during the contract period. The RN will work 12 hour rotating shifts (day and night) and will be part of the interdisciplinary care team ensuring the health safety and well being of infants children and adolescents under their care.
Responsibilities
- Assess monitor and document pediatric patient conditions and development.
- Administer medications IV therapies and treatments as ordered.
- Respond to emergencies and escalate changes in patient status promptly.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses care plans and discharge instructions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards.
- Provide age-appropriate emotional support and engage families in care.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in New Mexico.
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience; at least 1 year in pediatrics.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong critical thinking communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour day/night rotations and adapt to changing patient needs.
