Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the IMCU/Step Down unit provides skilled nursing care to patients including assessments medication administration and treatment planning. This role requires strong communication and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team patients and providers. The RN may float between units and must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Location:Lubbock Texas United States
Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the IMCU/Step Down unit.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare providers.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- Clinical Assessment Medication Administration and Treatment Planning skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care or Intermediate/Stepdown unit.
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field

Special Considerations:

- Must wear solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire (scrub tops may have colored piping).
- May float between units as needed.
Scheduling:
- Weekends are required with 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
- 48-hour shifts may be approved.
- Expected patient ratio is 1:4.
