We are seeking for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse with prior Charge Nurse experience for a 13-week night shift contract. This role requires strong clinical judgment the ability to charge when needed with minimal orientation and experience managing high-acuity adult and pediatric emergency patients. This is not a first-time traveler role and requires ER nurses who can function independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities-
Deliver safe high-quality emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients.

Serve as Charge Nurse as needed including staff coordination and patient flow oversight.

Manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a combined Adult/Pediatric ER setting.

Perform rapid triage assessment and stabilization of emergent and traumatic conditions.

Administer emergency medications IV infusions vasopressors paralytics and sedation as required.

Interpret cardiac rhythms ABGs and respond to emergency situations.

Provide care for trauma neurological psychiatric orthopedic respiratory and shock patients.

Utilize PPE and follow isolation precautions per hospital protocol.

Collaborate with physicians ancillary staff and interdisciplinary teams.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility standards.

ER Charge Nurse experience REQUIRED (must be able to charge with very brief orientation).

Minimum 2 years recent ER experience (screen closely for recency and acuity).

Experience managing 1:4 patient ratios.

Must be comfortable in combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department.

Must work night shift (7p 7a) and weekends as needed.

Travel experience not required but ER experience must be solid and independent.

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

Minimum 2 years Emergency Room RN experience.

Prior Charge Nurse experience in ER (required).

Experience with high-acuity trauma and emergency response environments.

Pediatric ER exposure strongly preferred.

Active RN license (state per Providence/Aya compliance at submission).
