About the Role
We are seeking an Expert IT Specialist (.NET) for a long-term high-impact project in Albany NY. The position involves designing developing and enhancing secure web applications using Microsoft technologies to support enterprise systems within the Department of Public Service.
This is a 30-month onsite hybrid role ideal for a senior-level professional with experience and strong architectural skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and modify system functionality per change requests C# SQL Server Oracle and FileNet.
- Develop and enhance RESTful Web APIs and web applications utilizing MVC and Entity Framework.
- Identify and correct performance issues in existing web applications.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on development best practices.
- Assist in defining software/hardware requirements for Development User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production environments.
- Contribute to system upgrades framework enhancements and ongoing modernization efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience designing and architecting systems in .
- 7 years developing secure web applications in a collaborative team environment.
- 6 years in database design and management using SQL Server.
- 3 years using Microsoft TFS for version control and project tracking.
- 7 years of hands-on programming experience with C# MVC Entity Framework (Core or EF6) Web API and web tools.
- 3 years developing applications using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- 3 years of experience building applications using XAML with Universal Windows Platform (UWP) utilizing MVVM and SQLite.
- Masters degree in computer science or a related field.
