The Project Analyst supports the successful delivery of Qatar Tourisms strategic and operational projects. The role involves coordinating project activities monitoring progress and analysing performance data to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
Key duties include:
- Assisting in project planning scheduling and coordination of tasks and deliverables.
- Supporting the preparation of project documentation reports budgets and risk registers.
- Tracking project performance using appropriate systems tools and techniques.
- Conducting data analysis to identify trends variances and improvement areas.
- Preparing periodic progress reports and dashboards for management review.
- Coordinating communication among internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Supporting project managers in procurement coordination and contract administration.
- Contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
The position plays a vital role in ensuring that Qatar Tourisms projects are executed efficiently and aligned with its goal of positioning Qatar as a world-class tourism destination.
Requirements
Education:
- Minimum: Diploma in Business Administration Project Management Tourism Management or related field.
- Preferred: Bachelors degree in Business Economics Engineering Tourism or a related discipline.
Experience:
- Diploma holders: 35 years of relevant experience in project coordination analysis or administration.
- Bachelors degree holders: 13 years of relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word Project).
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. MS Project Smartsheet Asana).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Qatars tourism sector or public-sector project frameworks is desirable.
