Business Development Specialist

The impact you will have:

Embark on a transformative journey into the Public Cloud!

TheBusiness DevelopmentSpecialist(BDS) role isultimately responsiblefor the growth and impact of partner-influenced revenue on our public cloud business. Through advocacy influenceand alignment activities theBDSorchestrates oursell-throughstrategy within a given segment or territory. Theircustomeris the partner - inclusive of sellers sales leadership partnerleadershipand pre-sales leadership.

There are 5 key measures within theBDMmanagement process:

  1. results segment / territorial field margin plan attainment (Total FM)

  1. KPI new partner-influencedNew Cloud Logos Balance of trade ratio

  1. Supporting metrics partner leads partner-influenced pipeline

Whatyoulldo:

  • Accountable forestablishingand nurturing key regional relationships in Sales sales leadership partnerleadershipand pre-sales leadership within theAWS CSC partnership

  • Responsible for selling Softchoice as a go-to partner based upon our solution focus and differentiated capabilities to influence the flow of leads

  • Responsible for the regional execution of our Partner Lifecycle Management (PLM) program to accelerate alignment withour ownSLT and ELT

  • Developing and distributing regional win wires

  • Focal point for all outbound communications

  • Organize andfacilitateregional business reviews

  • Responsible for field marketing strategy and oversight withinregions(such asAWS events summits partner meetings etc.)

  • Other shared responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Develop relationships and influence within Softchoice sales leaders RVPs and managers within region

  • Contributevoice of the partnershipto influence our GTM planning and Category operating priorities

  • Collaborate withAWSpre-sales Solution Architects and SMEsto enable & influence Softchoice sellers and sales leadership

  • Responsible for aligned AWS Referral opportunity intake aligned to Softchoice AWS Scale team

  • Building opportunities in SFDC

  • Working with the AWS BD team toidentifyand align theright resources

  • Working closely with AWS Pre-sales and Solution Architects to ensureopportunity execution

  • Assistin communication with aligned AWS Account Manager Sales Leader SA etc. on opportunity progress

  • Responsible for trackingalignedpipelineand opportunity FM and close dates

Whatyoullbring to the table:

  • 5 yearsof professional experience3 years minimum of related Channel partner sales or business development experiencepreferably within the technology/channelsector

  • Demonstrable experience in solution sales and/ orbusiness development roles with consistent year-over-year performanceto plan. Preference given to sales management experience.

  • Experience fostering relationships with senior executives

  • Strong executive presence effective communication skills (all levels)

  • Technicalproficiencywith aconceptual understanding of Cloud computing

Role Requirements:

  • Required to be in local AWS office 2-3 days a week

  • Someadditionaltravel up to 20% may berequired

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification is preferred but notrequired(certification obtainment will berequiredin first 6 months of the role)

Pay Range:
Each individual offer will take into consideration a range of factors including prior experience and geographic location.

In addition to the base salary this role is eligible for additional elements of compensation including (cell allowances annual bonus or commissions etc.) as well as a comprehensive benefits plan.
