Job Summary
- Supervise and coordinate all activities of the laundry team including washing drying ironing folding and distribution.
- Ensure proper handling and care of all linen uniforms and guest laundry to maintain quality and durability.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene and organization in the laundry area.
- Monitor the performance of laundry equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance with Engineering.
- Control and monitor chemical usage and inventory to ensure safety and cost efficiency.
- Train guide and motivate team members to uphold operational standards and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure guest laundry and resort linen meet brand standards.
- Manage daily laundry reports including production records damaged linen reports and inventory tracking.
- Ensure timely delivery of clean linen and uniforms to all resort departments.
- Support environmental sustainability by managing water energy and chemical usage efficiently.
- Assist in linen and uniform inventory counts and coordinate with Housekeeping on replenishment needs.
- Ensure compliance with resort safety policies and maintain a positive working environment.
Qualifications :
- Diploma or Certificate in Housekeeping Laundry Operations or related field.
- Minimum 23 years of experience in a laundry supervisory or similar role within a luxury resort or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of laundry chemicals fabrics and equipment operation.
- Good leadership organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to train and motivate a multicultural team.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting (Excel Outlook).
- Flexible to work in shifts and adapt to island/resort life.
