Right in the centre of Darwin The Cavenagh Hotel is where locals and visitors come together for great food cold beer and good times. A true NT favourite The Cav is known for its buzzing bistro lively bar boutique-style accommodation and resort-style pool - the perfect mix of energy and laid-back Territory charm.
Were looking for a hands-on Publican to lead this iconic venue and continue its legacy as one of Darwins best-loved destinations.
A day in the life of a Publican:
- You know the locals by name they reckon youre one of their own all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L.
- You run the place like its your own modern-day home keeping things safe smooth and compliant.
- Youre the pillar of the local community and the driving force behind a high-performing team.
- You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke.
- You bring the vibe the service and the smiles every shift every day.
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock kegs and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
You already know if this is for you. Youve got the experience the presence and the pride it takes to own a pub like its been yours forever. Youre not just running a venue - youre living the Publican life.
Hold current industry RSA and RSG/RCG qualifications as per state requirements
