Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is seeking a motivated Procurement Delivery Manager to join our high-performing Procurement & Supply-Chain team. Whether youre an experienced procurement leader or a talented professional looking at developing a career in procurement we want to hear from you!

Downer RTS is a market leader in rollingstock asset management offering end-to-end solutions across design manufacture maintenance and overhaul. Our team manages strategic relationships with critical suppliers to support Through-Life Support (TLS) activities and deliver innovative turnkey solutions for complex rail projects nationwide.

The Opportunity

As the Procurement Delivery Manager you will:

Work closely with engineering delivery and commercial teams to align procurement strategies with project needs.
Lead procurement planning and execution in support of critical TLS activities ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Build and nurture relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Identify and implement procurement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Participate in strategic planning and workshops to align procurement activities with broader business objectives.
Drive supplier performance contract management and risk mitigation.

About you

For Experienced Procurement Managers:

5 years in procurement supply chain or commercial roles (rail infrastructure engineering or manufacturing preferred).
Proven track record in supplier negotiations contract management and project delivery.
Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.

For Aspiring Procurement Professionals:

Solid experience in engineering operations project management or commercial roles.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects solve problems and influence outcomes.
Eagerness to learn procurement best practices and develop new skills.

Desirable:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain Engineering Business Commerce etc.).
Professional certifications (CIPS MCIPS CPP/CPPM APICS or equivalent) are a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Outlook/Power BI).
