About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Specialist Digital Insights and Performance to join our dynamic Integrated Marketing team.


In this role youll combine expertise in Google Analytics UX metrics and data visualization with strategic thinking to shape roadmaps define success measures and ensure our digital initiatives deliver measurable impact. You will also be responsible for continuously monitoring audience behaviour to flag issues investigate traffic fluctuations identify trends and translate those insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

Formula for success

  • Leveraging your analytical skills you will own analytics tracking across all digital platforms.
  • You will build dashboards and reports that turn data into actionable insights.
  • Drawing from your keen eye for detail you will monitor and maintain data integrity quickly repairing tracking issues.
  • You will analyze user behavior and KPIs to drive engagement and conversation.
  • Lead A/B testing and optimize based no results.
  • You will ensure accurate data collection with GA4 Tag Manager and related tools.
  • Harnessing your excellent interpersonal skills you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve digital experiences.
  • Integrate digital data with organizational datasets for deeper insights.
  • You will define success measures and advise on data-driven strategies.
  • Stay ahead of trends in analytics and optimization.

Desired education and skills

  • Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution preferably a university degree in data science analytics marketing or business. A combination of relevant skills and experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in digital analytics or related role ideally within a digitally complex organization.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) Google Tag Manager and related tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of database management data architecture Excel MS Word PowerPoint and web-based technology.
  • Strong experience with UX and digital experience metrics (e.g. engagement funnels retention task completion).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tell stories with data and influence stakeholders. Able to translate data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience preparing data for analysis: sourcing information from multiple systems cleaning and validating it for accuracy and integrating this information into usable formats for reporting and dashboards.
  • Strong data and statistical analysis and knowledge application.

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
  • Shift/hours - Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week 7.5 hours a day.
