The Opportunity

Hybrid - Melbourne

Were looking for a Lead UI Developer with a strong focus on React to guide front-end development across enterprise-grade applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping technical direction mentoring others and delivering high-quality user experiences in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Youll play a key role in driving consistency accessibility and performance across digital products while contributing to design systems and architectural decisions.

What Youll Do

• Lead the design development and delivery of front-end solutions using and related technologies.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers backend developers and product owners to translate business requirements into responsive high-performing interfaces.
• Drive adoption and consistency of design systems and component libraries across multiple projects or squads.
• Ensure code quality scalability and maintainability through code reviews testing and continuous integration.
• Mentor and guide junior developers fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
• Champion front-end best practices performance optimisation and responsive design.
• Work closely with DevOps and QA teams to support CI/CD processes and deployment automation.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and contribute to architectural decisions and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan delivery roadmaps estimate work and align technical solutions with our clients enterprise environment and security standards.

What Youll Bring

• Proven experience as a Senior or Lead UI Developer in enterprise or telecommunications environments.
• Deep expertise in (v19) including hooks context API and component-driven architecture.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript ES6 and state management tools
• Solid understanding of HTML5 CSS3 SASS/LESS and responsive design principles.
• Experience with component libraries and tools like Storybook Material UI or Chakra UI.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Git workflows (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions Gitlab Azure DevOps).
• Exposure to modern tooling: Webpack Vite Babel ESLint Prettier Jest Cypress.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on inclusive team culture.
