Azure Data Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETL & Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Databricks Python and PySpark to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing developing and optimizing big data solutions on Microsoft Azure with hands-on experience in data migration integration and pipeline automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks PySpark and related Azure services.
- Lead and execute end-to-end data migration projects including transitioning from on-premises ETL solutions (e.g. Informatica PowerCenter) to Azure cloud environments.
- Integrate data from diverse sources into unified data architectures ensuring data quality integrity and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver high-performance maintainable and secure data solutions.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployment and testing.
- Perform data validation requirement analysis and support disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.
- Provide technical expertise in healthcare or other regulated domains (preferred).
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience in ETL development and data engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks PySpark and SparkSQL.
- Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Solid understanding of SQL Server Shell Scripting and enterprise data management.
- Experience with data migration from on-premises to cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD automation.
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in healthcare data (e.g. CTMS PBM) is a plus.
- Certifications such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate will be an added advantage.
