COST AND CONTRACT MANAGEMENT SECTION
Assistant Manager ()
The appointee will be a member of the Cost and Contract Management Section of the Estates Office and be responsible for controlling and monitoring the cost and the contractual aspects of capital projects campus renovation and improvement works of the University.
Responsibilities:
- Control and monitor the cost and the contractual aspects of capital projects campus renovation improvement works of the University;
- Liaise with government departments and consultants;
- Estimate budget for submission of project proposals;
- Administer the University/Government procedures in funding application and procurement process financial reporting of projects to University Management Committees and the Government; and
- Assist in managing cost and contract matters for capital/alterations additions and improvement (AA&I)/renovation projects.
Requirements:
- A recognised first degree in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines and be a full member of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with a minimum of two years post-qualification work experience; and
- Hands-on experiences in handling government-funded capital/renovation projects in the last five years are advantages.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
