Rate of Pay: 22.36 per hour
Summary:
The Housing Support Finance Officer will provide administrative and financial support to the Housing Support Accountant ensuring efficient and accurate processing of payments invoices and related financial transactions. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with statutory contractual and audit requirements while supporting the smooth operation of the Housing Payables function.
The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Housing service Corporate Finance and external partners to ensure that payments and financial records are accurate timely and compliant.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Housing Support Accountant in managing the Housing Invoices mailbox.
- Review sort and file invoices delivery tickets statements credit notes and purchase order requests.
- Upload and maintain resident and meter details on supplier portals for utilities.
- Maintain digital and physical records for audit and reference purposes.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations VAT requirements and internal control procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs (AC / 94) including Maths and English or equivalent demonstrable numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).
- Basic understanding of invoice requirements and VAT principles.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
