Overall Responsibility:

Leading a team of volunteers by developing organizing and supervising the Student Ministry (6^th-12^th grades) and Childrens Ministry (Pre-5^th grades) to help the next generation become disciples of Jesus Christ. The goal is to lead our leaders in growing a healthy relational and outward focused ministry.

Essential Job Functions:

Research recommend and implement a Bible-based curriculum for Student and Childrens Ministries.

Recruit train equip and develop leaders and volunteers to serve in Student and Childrens Ministries.

Develop and coordinate ministries that incorporate small groups large groups retreats and service projects for children students and their families.

Coordinate with staff and other ministry leaders to promote and advocate for children and youth to attend and participate in worship serve in local mission projects and the overall mission of the church.

Develop plan promote and recruit leaders for a Summer Mission Trip. Oversee the budget and fundraising. Provide pre-trip training team building and debriefing of participants upon return.

Plan promote recruit volunteers and help coordinate a safe engaging and community-friendly Vacation Bible School each summer.

Monitor and ensure all volunteers who are 16 years of age and older and are working with students and children under 18 years of age have a current Safe Gatherings Certificate on file.

Coordinate with the Communication Director in the promotion of ongoing and special events.

Consistent presence and leadership during weekly Student Ministry (Sunday evenings) and Childrens Ministry (Wednesday Evenings). Scheduling coverage in advance of absences in these ministries.

Assist in worship through leading Childrens Time and occasionally Announcements Prayer etc.

Leads a small group.

May be asked to preach as requested by Senior Pastor.

Essential Knowledge Experience and Education:

Understanding of children and student culture ministry principles trends and programs

Experience in youth or student ministry preferred.

Graduation from an accredited college or university preferred.

Strong leadership and administrative skills.

Ability to be comfortable with and effectively speak to small medium and large groups of all ages.

Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.

Ability to identify recruit develop and engage leaders passionate in making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Skill in working with individuals to achieve a teamwork work environment.

Must have a clear and deep call to helping children and students grow in their relationship with Christ.
