Job Summary
Do you want to lead a Year 4 class in a vibrant Reading primary from January 2026 This full-time Year 4 Teacher role combines curriculum leadership hands-on assessment and creative pedagogy. The successful Year 4 Teacher will be included in planning before January 2026 complete induction in January 2026 and will teach from January 2026.
Week in the life of the Year 4 Teacher
Mornings: the Year 4 Teacher leads mathematics and English sequences focused on reasoning and fluency. Afternoons: the Year 4 Teacher delivers enquiry-based foundation topics and practical science. The Year 4 Teacher will run interventions lead small-group work and prepare moderation evidence ahead of January 2026 and beyond January 2026.
Year 4 Teacher Responsibilities
As the Year 4 Teacher you will plan rich sequenced lessons across the curriculum and use assessment to adapt teaching. The Year 4 Teacher will collaborate with subject leads organise trips and lead enrichment activities. The Year 4 Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026 and will be teaching from January 2026.
Year 4 Teacher Requirements
We seek a Year 4 Teacher with QTS confident classroom practice and a passion for curriculum design. The Year 4 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026 for induction in January 2026 and to start in post from January 2026.
