About the Role
As the Supplies and Inventory (SI) Supervisor your job is to coordinate the materials necessary for successful curriculum delivery at MRU Camps. Under the supervision of the Youth Programming Coordinators you are responsible for purchasing organizing and distributing supplies and inventory to all camps. You will also work closely with the other Program Supervisors Office Coordinator and Supplies and Inventory Assistants to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
This is a casual position working the equivalent of full-time hours from May 1 - August 28 2026. Scheduled shift times are 8:30am - 4:30pm (May and June) and anytime between 7:00am - 6:00pm (July and August) Monday through Friday. Program Supervisors must have flexible hours for the months of July and August.
All MRU Camps staff are required to provide the following at their own cost prior to commencement:
- Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search (valid within 1 year).
- Standard First Aid (valid within 2 years) and CPR Level C (valid within 1 year).
Responsibilities
- Complete pre and post-camp inventory of all MRU Camps supplies assets equipment and materials.
- Assist with the onboarding process by planning and delivering training and orientation week for all 100 summer camp staff.
- Manage and direct a team of 2 Supplies and Inventory Assistants.
- Maintain the organization of camp inventory at all times.
- Receive supply requests and remind camps staff of supplies and inventory related deadlines.
- Respond to staff inquiries and concerns.
- Seek out ways to innovate and optimize the supplies and inventory process.
- Accurately and efficiently fulfill supply requests in a timely manner.
- Purchase supplies and compile receipts/invoices for regular expense reporting.
- Oversee and adhere to the supplies and inventory budget.
- Reduce waste and unnecessary expenses by embracing sustainability.
- Liaise with program supervisors to ensure that the needs of all program streams are being met.
Qualifications
- Experience in supply chain management warehousing retail services and/or administration (minimum 2 years).
- Experience working in a childcare/educational setting is an asset.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing priorities and deadlines.
- Must be proficient in using Google Workspace tools (Google Drive Docs Sheets Mail Forms etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be task and deadline oriented.
- Ability to work well in a team and individually.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Valid Alberta Drivers License; access to a vehicle.
Salary: $22.00 per hour
