Summary
The Master Data Analyst is responsible for timely and accurate entry of master data origination and maintenance requests across multiple enterprise data systems. The Master Data Analyst follows robust internal control processes to ensure data is accurate consistent and conforms to data standards and business rules. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills to engage with internal business partners and external customers and suppliers to collect and verify the accuracy of master data. Tasks also include participation in software implementations business projects and data quality validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Processes master data origination and maintenance requests related to vendors customers and products in systems such as JD Edwards Agvance and SAP
- Ensures master data is aligned with business processes and data standards when entering changing or syncing master data records.
- Elevates concerns to business data owners and master data managers regarding data management practices in the business.
- Collaborates with business data owners to understand information related to data origination and maintenance.
- Promptly and proactively researches and resolves inconsistent or inaccurate master data.
- Maintains a clear understanding of enterprise master data relationships and related enterprise data systems.
- Identify process changes to enrich data origination and maintenance efficiencies.
Typical Education
Bachelors Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Minimum Preferred Skills & Experience
- 3 years industry experience in Master Data Authoring
- Bi-lingual in fluent Spanish (Required)
- SAP and/or JDE Experience (Preferred)
- Intermediate SQL Experience (Preferred)
