Job Summary

The Position

The Instruction Leadership and Innovation Division is now accepting applications for Apprenticeship Program & Grant Initiatives Specialist.

Under the supervision of an assigned administrator leads the implementation and administration of an assigned apprenticeship or other grant-funded program; coordinates and advances county initiatives; manages program implementation; aligns resources partners and activities to meet objectives; oversees budgeting resource allocation and financial reporting; represents the SCCOE as a liaison among partners; and ensures effective implementation compliance and reporting.

This position is full-time in-person and has a work year of 12 months 261 days8 hours.

Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2500 annual stipend for a masters degree and a $2500 additional stipend for a doctorate provided official documentation is submitted.

This is grant or Federal/State categorical funded until June 30 2028. The Educator Preparation Programs Department expects to apply for an extension.

Education and Experience

Any combination equivalent to:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in public administration business administration education or a related field and
  • Experience: Three (3) years experience leading the implementation and coordination of grant-funded programs or projects including experience with budgeting and financial reporting. Knowledge of apprenticeship program design is highly desired.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

  • Assessments and interviews may take place virtually or in-person.
  • Following the final filing date the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated.
  • Themost qualified candidateswill be invited to participatein a written exam tentatively scheduled forNovember 18 2025.
  • Those who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in an oral examination with subject matter experts tentatively scheduled for December 2 2025.
  • Based on the final scores of qualified candidates Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list.
  • Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities tentatively scheduled for December 9 2025.
  • Second interviews may be held in-person.
  • Candidates will be invited over email to participate in examination and selection steps using the email supplied within their applications or as updated by candidates in their master it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.

Candidates who test successfully for placement on the eligibility list may be certified to other related positions without further testing requirements OR job posting announcements.
