Ability Action Australia is growing and were looking for our next Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP) to join our incredible team.

Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting NDIS participants along with their families and/or carers to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
- Evaluating developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices in the home and community
- Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants goals passions and strengths as well as ensuring they get more out of life
- Building the knowledge capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family carers friends etc
- Acting as an advocate and role model for best practice
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications :
To be considered suitable you will have:
- Extensive experience working within the NDIS framework and supporting individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Qualified Behaviour Support Practitioners or professionals with extensive experience in the disability or mental health sector
- Passion for supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Commitment to person-centred practice and reducing restrictive interventions
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to translate assessment findings into clear actionable plans
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to balance a dynamic caseload
