About the Role:
The Patient Experience Officer (PEO) plays a vital role in enhancing the experience of patients carers and visitors within Manning Base Hospitals Emergency Department. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge youll provide compassionate professional support that helps people feel heard informed and cared for during what can be a challenging time.
As a PEO youll serve as a key communication link between patients and staff helping to ensure the delivery of respectful patient-centred care. Your calm presence empathy and strong interpersonal skills will help create a positive environment that aligns with the hospitals commitment to exceptional service and community care.

Located on the Mid North Coast Manning Base Hospital is a Level 4 Rural Referral Hospital caring for approximately 38000 emergency patients each year. Our Emergency Department is a dynamic high-energy environment serving a growing and diverse community.

What Youll Be Doing:
Every day as a Patient Experience Officer will bring new challenges and opportunities to connect comfort and support.
Youll be the face of the Emergency Department maintaining a visible presence in the waiting area checking in with patients and their families and ensuring strong proactive communication between the care team and the community.
