Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the development implementation and monitoring of students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with federal and state laws
Collaborate with families general education teachers and related service providers to develop measurable goals and support plans in academic behavioral and social-emotional areas
Deliver specialized academic instruction and intervention through models such as co-teaching push-in pull-out small-group and one-to-one support
Collect and analyze data regularly to track student progress toward IEP goals inform instruction and communicate growth to families
Develop and adapt daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with both IEP goals and KIPPs academic vision
Partner with general education teachers to modify materials and differentiate instruction to meet students diverse learning needs
Support the training and development of paraeducators and other staff to ensure consistent high-quality instructional support
Foster a positive inclusive and rigorous learning environment that incorporates Restorative Practices Social Emotional Learning and culturally responsive approaches
Communicate proactively and effectively with students families and colleagues to ensure alignment and partnership in supporting student success
Maintain accurate organized student records including IEP documents progress reports and evaluations
Engage fully in ongoing professional development and Communities of Practice to continually refine instructional and equity-centered practices
Physical Mental and Environmental Demands
Physical: Ability to navigate school and classroom settings. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment 1-20 lbs. Physical agility to move self in various positions in order to execute duties effectively which may include kneeling walking pushing/pulling squatting twisting turning bending stooping and reaching overhead.
Mental: Stress of deadlines and normal work standards ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives work with interruptions concentrate for long periods of time read calculate perform routine math problems memorize and recall objects and people.
Environmental: School and classroom environment subject to constant interruptions and distractions. Adhere to KIPPs health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC CDE and public health agencies recommendations.
Classification
This is a full-time exempt position on a school year calendar cycle located at our school sites.
