Your day as an Aquatic Director
As the Aquatic Director at the Y you will take the plunge into an exciting leadership role overseeing the safe operation of both the Fort Meigs YMCA and Perrysburg City Outdoor Pool. Youll be at the helm of innovative Aquatics programming ensuring that every splash counts! Your responsibility will include crafting and implementing dynamic curricula and activities that inspire participants to thrive in a fun healthy and safe environment. Youll also have the chance to supervise guide and nurture a dedicated team helping them shine while fostering growth and development for all involved.
Best of all youll play a key role in ensuring that our program outcomes are consistently achieved making a lasting impact on our community and its love for water activities.
Requirements for this Aquatic Director job
To thrive as the Aquatic Director youll need a solid foundation of skills and experience that make waves! A Bachelors degree or equivalent alongside 3-5 years of demonstrated program development and management experience is essential. Your Lifeguarding certification along with proficiency in CPR First Aid and AED will ensure that safety is always at the forefront of your programming. Strong leadership abilities are crucial allowing you to inspire and guide your team effectively while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.
Excellent communication skills will empower you to connect with staff swimmers and families creating a strong sense of community in our aquatic programs. If you have a passion for developing innovative programs and a commitment to safety and inclusivity this is the role for you!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
